Instructions for Submitting Paper Applications.

Paper applications are accepted only for current job openings and are available in the Human Resources Department or by download from our website. Go to the City webpage www.grapevinetexas.gov then the Human Resources Department, and then Forms. Click on the application and print.

Resumes do not serve as a substitute for a fully completed application. However, cover letters and resumes may be included with an application. Incomplete applications will not be processed.


Processing Applications for Employment.

Applications are issued and accepted for posted positions only.

Applications should be typed or printed (black or blue ink).

Applicants must complete a City of Grapevine application for which they have an interest and must include the title of the position on the application. THE EXACT JOB TITLE MUST BE SHOWN ON THE APPLICATION. (Exact job titles are listed on the Human Resources Department's home page of the City's website under Job Opportunities. The Job Opportunities bulletin is also posted in the Human Resources office in City Hall.)

The application must be completed entirely and all questions must be answered. If a question does not apply indicate “NA” for not applicable.

Resumes will not be accepted as a substitute for applications, but may be attached for additional information. Please do not write “see resume” as a substitute for completing any portion of the application.

Applications and attachments, once submitted, become the property of The City of Grapevine and will not be returned to the applicant.


After Applying.

After applications are submitted they are screened for minimum qualifications. Qualified applicants are referred to the hiring supervisor(s) who determine which applicants they will interview. If you submit a paper application, you may contact the Human Resources Department at (817) 410-3176 for the status of your paper application.
