Did you know that you can request materials that we don’t have in our collection from libraries throughout the country? To cover postage costs, we charge a minimum of $3.10 to have items shipped from other libraries. You can request books, video recordings, sound recordings, DVDs, books on cassette or CD. Expect two to six weeks for items to arrive. We will notify you if the item that you requested is not available or when the item you asked for has arrived. Please note that media materials (DVD, CD, etc.) and new releases of books are harder to get through another library.
You can print a copy of the form and drop it off at the Reference Desk, or you can fill out the online form, and it will be emailed to a librarian.
Search Worldcat to see if the book you want is located at another library. You will need your Texshare Password to get in. Most libraries in the world use this service, however, just because a library shows that it owns it does not mean that the library is willing to lend it.
