Physical Ability Test

Running:



  • 1.5 mile run 16 minutes or better
  • 300 meter run 71 seconds or better

Sit-ups:


  • 29 within one minute

Push-ups:


  • 25 within one minute
The physical ability test includes a combination of running, sit-ups, and push-ups in a timed setting.  It is recommended you wear athletic clothing for the physical ability test.

Plan to show up 30 minutes prior to the test in order to get checked in.  You must present your admittance pass and driver's license in order to get a physical ability score sheet and numbered bib.

If you are not present when the test begins, you will not be permitted to participate.  

Only those who pass the physical ability test will be allowed to move on to the written test*.



*In inclement weather, some applicants will take the written exam before the physical ability test.
